In my five year search for a genuine home based business, I found that the road to personal financial freedom is long and twisted. If you’ve requested information for home based businesses on the internet lately, no doubt you’ve been bombarded by responses and promises to “make money within 24 hours”, “quit your job in 30 days or less”, “retire in 2 years”, etc.

Like most moderately intelligent, educated people, I threw caution to the wind and believed all the hype. I even invested money and time (lots of both) toward realizing my dream of owning my own business, working from the comfort of my home, making money on the internet, being my own boss and paying my bills without a monthly struggle.

Unfortunately, I found that the majority of home based business offers out there are for MLM’s, or multi-level marketing. The theory behind MLM’s is that you sell to me, I then sell to someone who sells to someone else and so on. The person who sold to me is my “upline” and everyone I sell to and everyone they sell to is my “downline”.

In itself, MLM is basically a very feasible and workable concept. The idea is sound and the possibility of your making money is increased by your downline’s ability to make money. In other words, when you make money your upline makes money and when your downline makes money, you make money. Everybody wins. The major downside of MLM’s is that many times there is no actual product to sell. When this is the case (which is frequent), the only thing you’re selling is the phone calls to get other people to do the same.

In response to the multitudes who have lost money to this scheme, someone came up with the original idea of creating a sellable product – information. This information usually comes in the form of “reports” which can be purchased online. You simply give your payment information and the “report” is emailed to you. Or even better, you’re directed immediately to the report which is often only 2-5 pages long. The reports cost anywhere from!
$7 to $
100 and people are raking in the dough by selling them.

Many home based businesses encourage you to write your own report based on your own skills and hobbies. If you’re not comfortable doing this, there are sites where you can buy the selling rights to reports. There are even sites where you can get permission to duplicate the reports with your name as the author. Sounds easy right?

Here’s the rub. There are literally THOUSANDS selling the same information reports on the internet. And if you know anything about key words and search engine rankings, unless you advertise, your site will be so low on the rankings, it will never be seen.

After really working at two viable home based businesses and making a little money, but with no hope for more unless I was ready to spend a lot, I’ve found what I believe may be the market niche for home based business owners and entrepreneurs. This niche has real products to sell and they are products that we all use every day. If you search, you can find a home based business which offers these products, as well as a business opportunity to sell the products.

So what’s the answer? The always growing natural health/fitness industry. There are a number of companies that promote and sell natural products for our home, body and health. And with the ever increasing rise in cancer rates in America, it’s become apparent that going “natural” is no longer a trend but quite possibly our salvation. Although I believe that the medical profession is absolutely necessary and should be credited with great steps toward research and cures, I also believe that many of the illnesses which plaque Americans today is brought on by the amount of pesticides, additives and chemicals we ingest/absorb daily- in the foods we eat and drink and the products we use.

I’m happy to say that many Americans agree because the natural way of living is growing in number every day. If you truly want to make a LIVING from the comfort of your own home, then check o!

of the (in my opinion) best home based business products and business plans available today. I can’t promise that you’ll make money fast, but I can almost guarantee that you’ll make a steady income that will increase with your desire for more and you’ll be selling products that are good for us humans, good for the environment and good for animals. As one of these businesses is fond of saying….”just change stores”. Replace the items you buy now with eco-friendly, natural items and you won’t be spending any more money, but you’ll be reaping rewards aplenty.
