Work At Home: Online Jobs
(presented by www.data-entry-jobs.net - data entry jobs)

Wednesday, February 28th, 2007

If you want to make money online and work-at-home, you are sharing the wish of millions of people that are trying to attain financial freedom.

The main benefits of work at home online jobs are:

- Flexibility: You can schedule your work around other activities and you aren’t bound by an 8:00-17:00 job five days a week.

- You are your own boss!

- You will benefit 100% from your efforts.

The question is: How do you get there? More precisely: What work-at-home job will really work for you? What does it take to make money online? How to avoid scams? Where to start? Like many other web surfers looking for online job opportunities, you are probably confused. To help you answer these questions, we have presented a model here which you can use to understand what’s behind the opportunities you encounter on the Web. Making money online can be considered in three different ways: A hobby, a business venture or a job. Let’s review every option:

A Hobby:

Maybe you don’t know it but making money online is millions of people’s favorite hobby. In fact, it’s more a question of fun than a way to make real money because earnings here are very small. For example, think of those people that are paid to read emails, to surf the web or to play games: They are paid only cents for every email but the idea of making money online without spending a dime makes them ecstatic! If you do it for fun, that’s OK. If you are doing it for money, it’s a very bad investment of your time. If someone claims you will make plenty of money doing that, it’s a scam! You won’t make a lot of money reading emails, surfing the web or playing games. If you are serious about making money online, I suggest you leave these micro money making opportunities to teens and to move to more lucrative activities.

An Entrepreneurial Venture:

If you have the entrepreneur spirit, you can build a website to sell your own information product or to promote someone else’s product that pays you a commission for your efforts. Your earnings can be very high and we know Internet marketers that have made millions doing so. The big issue here is to build a website that sells and to direct a high volume of traffic to your business. To make a long story short, that’s a big deal! I don’t say that it’s impossible but it requires a very big investment of your time and money throughout the years to make it happen! Furthermore, 98% of net entrepreneurs fail and only 2% break through. You can succeed but it’s hard. If someone promises that you can become a successful Internet marketer in no time, just know it’s a scam.

A Job:

If you aren’t ready to build a business and aren’t doing it just to entertain yourself, you are simply looking for a job. Whatever job you do, you won’t become a millionaire doing so but you can make good money working at it part-time or full time. Online paid surveys, focus groups and mystery shopping assignments are ideal jobs you can find on the web. Mystery shoppers and survey takers have a lot of fun but they also make serious money doing so. They just need an Internet connection to get started and to get paid.

Before you go ahead, you need to ask yourself what your real intention is when you think about making money online. Are you doing it first of all for fun? Do you intend on building a business? Are you looking for a job that earns good money but without the risks and efforts involved in building a business?

How To Use E-Bay To Find A Niche Market
(presented by www.data-entry-jobs.net - data entry jobs)

Tuesday, February 27th, 2007

Use E-bay to easily find a niche market for your blog or website. One of the most pressing problems to most internet entrepreneurs and bloggers alike is how to find a niche for their blog or website. Usually the flat answer to this is to do what you like or what you know.

It has even been quoted “do what you love and the rest will follow”. This is going to sound blunt and perhaps a little mean. But if you are having a hard time deciding what you like or perhaps feel that you don’t know which direction to take, then perhaps it is time you get out from behind your television or video game and go find a hobby or an interest. That being said, here is an easy way or a few easy ways to find a niche for your blog or website.

First off you should go to E-bay. E-bay is the largest online auction portal on the planet, more people buy and sell there than any where else on the planet. Being that it is the largest online market place there are ample sources and categories for you to choose from when selecting a niche. Why do I say E-bay, only because it is the largest market place. What you are looking at when you are viewing E-bay are people’s desires and needs in full action. And a big part of choosing a niche is selecting an unfulfilled need or desire and presenting and solution to it.

How to use e-bay to find a niche market. First off just go to the e-bay main site ebay.com look down the left hand side there you will find most of the categories that people buy and sell in. These are markets, broadly targeted niches. Click on one of the categories that interests you. This will bring you to another page from which you will be better able to narrow down a niche market. So as an example I chose consumer electronics. Then when I clicked through to the next page I scanned through it for something that might be of further interest and chose Apple Ipod Mp3 players. I chose that because well quite simply my girlfriend owns one and I think it’s cool. They’re popular and I know very little about them other than they play music and videos and you can do wild things with them. So the next thing I ask myself is, what can I do with these gadgets? What pops to mind is podcasting. So now I have a few directions I can go with this. I can base a blog around the Ipod devices them selves or build a blog or website around podcasting. All this took me no more than 5 minutes.

Ok so now you have your niche selected. Now you need content. Yes I am going to write some of the articles on my own. But I am going to want to do a bit or reading to get a feel the market and to learn a bit about podcasting. So I pop over to ezinearticles.com. Wow there’s a ton of articles on podcasting.

Now at this point you could publish other author’s articles on your blog or site. Or just read and get a feel for your niche and what kind of content to include in it.

Now comes an introduction to the article. Go to Amazon to pull quotes from leading authorities. Yes, copying a quote or a brief passage is permitted under copyright law. Just don’t overdo it. For example, “Tricks of the Podcasting Masters (Paperback) by Rob Walch, Mur Lafferty “At the beginning of 2004, the term podcast did not even exist; by December of 2005,Better yet, read a few sources. Include things like comments and Consumer Reports. That’s called research. Now put what they said into your own words. Just like when you did a book report back in grade six.

Now it’s time for photos. You could snag a quick image from Amazon, if it’s the make and model that you’re trying to sell. But chances are, it’s just a static product shot, of a cold, hard, lifeless machine. Yea… like that’ll make ‘em wanna buy one. ;-)

I click over to iStockPhoto and search for ipods. Now I’ve got 64 high quality photos to choose from. I show action shots of people using their ipods for their listening pleasure being quite happy with. Now that’s the mental image I WANT to project.

Remember, the most missing element on any web page is the human element. If you want to sell products to people, you need pictures of happy people. In fact, that would make an excellent headline. In H1 tags across the top of the page put ” Get an ipods and improve your listening pleasure ” then in H2 tags right underneath that, “Will an Ipod change the way you listen to music and watch television.”

Now drop a photo reinforcing that headline at the top left hand corner of the page. Drop another one half way down the article and flush it to the right. The end of the article is a good place to conclude with the “most popular” or “highest rated” ipods. These are your affiliate links that lead to the sale of the products.

Work From Home Ideas
(presented by www.data-entry-jobs.net - data entry jobs)

Monday, February 26th, 2007

If you have an email, you’ve probably received at least one mail enticing you to try work-from-home schemes that promises huge returns at little or no cost. if you think it’s too good to be true, it probably is. But that’s not to say that all work-from-home offers or schemes should be trashed, after checking them out, here are are new possibilities to earn extra income from home.

First rule of thumb, money doesn’t grow on trees and you have to give some to get some. Earning money from home requires a lot of passion and creativity, when people say they just sit back and watch the money roll in, they’re not telling you the whole truth. Do your research, see what’s good for you and what you feel you’ll stick with and be able to create time for.

Having said that, here are some ideas you might want to check out:

Surveys. If you spend at least two hours online three times a week surfing, might as well, make some money off it answering surveys. Some companies, sends freebies and coupons in exchange for consumer’s honest opinions about the products they endorse. Others, sends out surveys with equivalent market points that you can convert into cash. When signing up, be sure to be as relevant as you can about the information you supply because it becomes the basis of the types of surveys that you’ll get.

The more targeted the survey you get, the more you fit into the category they want and the more points will be awarded to you. This is not a full time income source but a nice thing to do on the side while checking your emails or researching things on the internet. Before you know it, there’ll be a check in the mail.

Freelance Work. Whether doing administrative work, web site programmer, customer support or accounting, more and more companies are turning to the internet to hire virtual assistants who work from home part time or full-time depending on the project they have.

This type of work usually pays between $10 - $150 an hour depending on complexity of the task.

You will have to spend at least 10 to 12 hours a week and some jobs, like those that involve interaction with a client (handling phone calls or emails) require you to work at a set time. Others, such as making flyers, analyzing spreadsheets or creating web sites can often be done at night or on the weekends.

You’ll need a high capacity computer, internet connection, fax, separate phone line and depending on the work, proficiency with office software or certain programming languages.

Join your local business groups to network and don’t be shy about contacting your former employers! I did when I heard of an opening in a new company my former boss put up. He agreed to a telecommuting job with me working in the same capacity I did while I was hands-on in the office.

Online Auctioneer. Selling products online at auction sites like eBay, Yahoo, MSN or Amazon auctions. You can either buy items at a discount and resell them at a higher price or sell items for other people and take a cut in the profits.

Make sure to research the auction sites first, to see what the “hot” sellers are and how much you can list similar items.

This requires computer, internet connection and a good digital camera for taking photos of the items you will sell online. The pay varies widely. Some, who found their niche on eBay, can easily make $5000 a year working 10 hours a week. Some takes a long time to sell. The hours are up to you.

DATA ENTRY FROM HOME ADVERTISEMENT

A great way to start this whole online selling career is by getting a feel for the process by listing some garage-sale goods you have, or items that you’re ready to move away from.

The first time I sold items online, they were used but still in very good condition textbooks that I posted on Amazon to see if I wanted to take on this type of work.

After you’ve gotten the hang of selling or if you decide you may just have a go at it, branch out to reselling new products or used ones from friends and family for a commission. You can also find used things to sell by placing ads for them in church bulletins and on public notice boards.

Avoid Getting Scammed!

Most of the time, working from home means you don’t get to meet your boss personally and this type of anonymity opens an avenue for unscrupulous “businesses” (scam artists really), tricking you into signing for work and then making you pay in the form of “membership” or “application fees” without any actual work coming your way.

To protect yourself, please:

  • Check that the company you’re interested in actually exists. Some are phony rackets with P.O. Boxes waiting for your money. Ask where the company is headquartered and see if the phone number and address is listed in that town.
  • Be wary of jobs that ask you for money to get more information. Often, these are schemes to make you shell out some $25 to $99 and all you end up with are instructions for advertising the same scam that you just fell for.
  • With direct-sales companies, you sometimes have to pay for a start up kit but anything that costs over $500 or a few thousand pesos should raise a red flag.
  • Avoid direct-sales companies that don’t buy back products you’re unable to sell - and check that there IS a product to be sold. here’s where the pyramiding scheme comes in. Pyramid schemes lures new recruits into paying exorbitant amounts of money thinking they’ll be paid in turn when they lure yet more recruits to join. These schemes are illegal.
  • In the US, check the Better Business Bureau or state attorney general’s office for complaints against any firm you’re considering. In other countries, please check with your Department of Trade and Industry or Business Listing agencies and proper government office handling industries in which companies you’re interested in are associated.

Work at Home Mom: My Success Story
(presented by www.data-entry-jobs.net - data entry jobs)

Sunday, February 25th, 2007

I became a stay at home Mom after the birth of my daughter. I was so enthusiastic when I took the decision to stay at home with her, not knowing how hard it will be. I was tired of the working outside the home routine, and was looking forward to this change of pace. I have been now staying at home for a little more than a year and a half. I have seen it all: from the overwhelming joy to the extreme exhaustion. Despite the hard work and dedication necessitated by the early parenting I am still enjoying being a full time stay at home Mom.

While each step of a child’s development has its own challenges, I personally think that the hardest to tackle are those during baby’s first year, thanks to their nature. Those challenges are physically demanding, not to mention financially. Now that my daughter has well past her first year, she is not even a baby any longer, I have more time to think about projects that I could do to contribute to my family’s earning.

A Mom starting a work at home during baby’s first year could find herself easily irritable. Babies are still very exigent and not quite independent from their principal care giver at such young age. I would suggest postponing working at home until your baby is at least fourteen month-old if the family can afford the wait.

Having a new baby increases expenses in many ways and it is understandable that Moms want to do all they can to contribute to their family’s finances. The arrival of a new baby causes changes in the family life, in all of its aspect. Financially, the difference is even more striking for families that go from two incomes to one.

My family was no exception to this hard fact and I started thinking about an additional source of income. I was highly motivated since we lived on such a tight budget. I did not want to further strain our finances by investing a large amount of money, which we did not have anyway, so I figured I had to work with the resources already available to us, to me.

I put my sewing skills to work and started making simple but useful baby bedding items. Then it occurred to me that I cannot go door to door and sell them so I went online and searched inexpensive ways to run an online store. I have never created a website in my life, but I was determined to help my family and ready to defy any obstacles. I learned a lot through my searches and readings. Among other things, I learned that you find what you are looking for. So I always incorporated the word free in my search query, and the more I searched, the more free resources I found. Then one day I found out that with some basic knowledge of HTML I could really use one of those website builders to create my very own website! I worked right at it. If I had not much money, I did have all the willingness, the time and the courage to do whatever it takes to own my website. Guess what? I do now. Hard work does pay off.

However, having an online store is not the end of my endeavor, there are still a lot to do to keep my boutique running, one of which is promoting it. Let us not forget that creating an additional income was the goal at the first place. Owning an online store is just one of the means to achieve it.

Now I am a very busy work at home Mom, taking care of my daughter, my family, my customers and promoting my website. I agree it requires strong willingness, patience and dedication, but believe me, it is rewarding. You will be proud of your achievement. Now imagine what stay at home Moms can do. You do not have to have a lot to start something you are passionate about. The possibilities are countless.

Ebay - The Truth Behind The Sales?
(presented by www.data-entry-jobs.net - data entry jobs)

Saturday, February 24th, 2007

I have been selling on Ebay for some 12 months, in that time I have acquired a feedback of 1200 positive transactions and a positive percentage of 99.4%, I am also a Powerseller having sold £1500/month of products per month ($3000) for the past 3 months.

I have sold everything from:

  • things around the home,
  • lingerie,
  • ipods,
  • PCs,
  • diet tablets,
  • but I find the most profitable are ebooks! These are electronic books that are downloaded from a website.

I can make 500-600% profit per ebook! However the only draw back is spotting fraudster buyers, because these items are intangible, (only downloadable) some buyers NOT ALL, try once they have paid via Paypal and downloaded the product to get a refund. They can dispute the transaction with Paypal, who will side with the Buyer 9 times out of 10! Even though the seller has done nothing wrong. This is a loophole that Paypal chooses to do nothing about….

The majority of buyers on Ebay are law abiding, like anything in life you come across the odd deadbeat, but due to Ebays success there seems to be more than the fair share trawling Ebay!

However, the easiest way I have found in spotting this type of buyer is they have a low feedback, anything up to 60, they could be very newly registered alternatively, they have been registered for a couple of years with a very low number of transactions such as 3. Once they have bid on your item, check their feedback and if you see feedback that other sellers have left causing you to be concerned you can refund their payment and get you fees returned from Ebay.

If they dispute the transaction this can only be for 2 things, either none delivery or not as described.

(Article continues below)

DATA ENTRY FROM HOME ADVERTISEMENT

None Delivery- The best way around this is to copy the download URLs into the Paypal dispute panel and state that ebooks (intangible goods) are not covered under buyer/seller protection. Paypal will normally side with the seller on this.

Not as Described- This is a little trickier, you must state the intangible goods are not covered under buyer/seller protection and try to answer the issues the buyer as honestly - unfortunately this is were some buyers lie and there is nothing you can do about it! Paypal will side with buyer on this.

Should the transaction be reversed, you could contact a debt collection agency and forward the Paypal details to them who work on a commission basis if the product is of high value, I sell various ebooks for $110+ and I get around 1-3 sales per month try this and this is the action I have chosen to take. They charge around $250 that they get from the fraudulent buyer (not you!) Then they forward the payment to you minus their commission of around 10%.

Once its been reversed, you can contact Ebay and file a dispute with them and get your Final Value Fees back, this will also give the buyer a none payment strike, 3 of them and they are banned from Ebay. then leave negative feedback for Product Theft.

Out of my 12 months, I have probably had only 24 problems, not bad for making $3000/month!

If you sell tangible goods (actual products) always get proof of postage or have the item signed for, this eliminated the first issue.

Good luck on your Ebay Success.
