Comerica Bank To Michigan: “You Were On Double Secret Probation”
(presented by www.data-entry-jobs.net - data entry jobs)

Quit Your Job: Make money from home!

Like Dean Wormer telling Delta House they’d been on double secret probation, yesterday Comerica Bank essentially told the State of Michigan that they too had been on probation … and blew it.

After 6 months of secretly evaluating the local economic signs, Comerica announced that they’re pulling out of Michigan and relocating to Dallas, Texas. The reason given by Comerica is that they wanted to move their headquarters to a place where business is growing, and Michigan is not it. They also mentioned something about needing to find “talented employees”. Apparently unemployed auto-workers just don’t cut it.

So say goodbye to Comerica’s relationship with Detroit, one that lasted 150+ years.

What is interesting is that people in Michigan have been bracing for more layoffs from Ford, General Motors and DaimlerChrysler.  But like Govenor Granholm, Michiganders have been “blindsided” with bad news from surprising sources … Ann Arbor based Pfizer leaving, the Chrysler Group being shopped around, rumors of Dow Chemical looking to get out, and now Comerica. This is all on top of Kmart leaving just a few years ago.
